    1. Fill out an application at www.brazosport.edu, and have all transcripts sent from previous school/colleges to the Brazosport College Registrar's office.

    2. Complete Orientation Session - students with no previous college credit are required to complete a video registration on-line.
    3. Talk to a BC counselor/advisor to select courses - call us at 979-230-3040.
    4. Visit the BC financial aid office, if needed - call us at 979-230-3294 or fill out an application at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
    5. Register & Pay - go on-line at www.brazosport.edu (OASIS). If you are a new student to Brazosport College or have a hold on your account you must come in to register.

  2. Do I qualify for Financial Aid or Scholarships?

    Brazosport College participates in federal and state financial aid programs as well as privately-funded and college assistance programs. There are four types of financial aid: grants, scholarships, student employment, and loans. Financial Aid advisors are available to answer your questions and give further information about available aid programs. Please contact Financial Aid advisors at 979-230-3377.

  3. Are there testing requirement for admission to BC?

    Brazosport College is an open-admission institution. Students need to visit with a counselor or advisor to determine if their career goal or major requires testing. For most majors, students must demonstrate appropriate reading, writing, and mathematics skills on examinations approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board before registering for college transfer courses and some workforce education courses. Please contact the Counseling and Testing at 979-230-3237.

  4. What is the cost of Tuition and Fees?



    NOTE: In-District is for students who reside in the areas served by Brazosport Independent School District.
    Out of District is for all other areas within Texas and out of state boundaries. Tuition and fees are subject
    to change.

    Yes, we are very proud of our campus and would love for anyone and everyone to come by and take a guided tour. To find out more information on taking a campus tour please contact Leslie Way with Student Services at 979-230-3355 to set an appointment.

  7. What is the difference between Dual Credit and Concurrent classes for high school students?

    Dual Credit - college courses for which a student receives both high school and college credit. Dual credit will be received upon successful completion of college courses with a minimum grade of 70. Check with your high school or college counselor for more information about credits.
    Concurrent Enrollment - enrollment in both college and high school at the same time. Concurrent enrollment classes are any college course where the student does not also receive high school credit. Students receive only college credit for these courses.

  8. What is a credit hour?

    Generally, one semester hour of credit is given for performing satisfactory in a course that meets 50 minutes weekly for 16 weeks. Thus, a three credit hour course meets the equivalent of three 50-minute lecture periods a week for 16 weeks.

    Yes. The Bill and Julia May Children's Center is located on the campus of Brazosport College. To find out more information on the Bill and Julia May Children's Center please contact Sue Allen, Children's Center Director, at 979-230-3463.
